Guilford Native American Association: Art Gallery
The Guilford Native American Art Gallery is a project of the Guilford Native American Association, Inc., a nonprofit Urban Indian Center founded in 1975.

Opening on September 15th, 1990, the Guilford Native American Art Gallery is a new fine art gallery concerned with promoting, exhibiting, and selling the very best traditional and contemporary American Indian or Native American art. This is the first Native American Fine Art Gallery of its kind in North Carolina and the southeastern United States. It is one of the first galleries owned and managed by American Indians as a part of a community arts center.

There will be from four to five annual exhibitions showcasing local, state, regional, and international Native American artists. Through annual exhibitions, multidisciplinary art programs and education programs, the Gallery will set realistic and meaningful standards and provide interaction for artists and audiences. It will focus sensitive critical attention on contemporary and traditional Indian art and culture. It will deal with the living culture, identifying contributions to the history of American Art. The Gallery is a part of the Greensboro Cultural enter at Festival Park.

Catalogues, invitations, promotional brochures, artist's biographies, and price lists are available for most exhibitions and programs. Scheduled tours are welcome for school groups and other organizations. A well-supplied and unique gift shop makes a wide assortment of authentic handmade Native American crafts, art, and other items available to the public including jewelry, pottery, baskets, prints, flutes, music, and much more.

Guilford Native American Art Gallery is presently supported by the United Arts council of Greensboro Grassroots Program, the NC Arts Council Organization of Color Program, and the National Endowment of the Arts Expansion Arts Program.
